- View iCloud Calendar in Google by Importing ICS File. Exporting.ics file of the iCloud calendar and adding it to Google Calendar is essential. After that, we can view the iCloud calendar in Google Calendar at any time. This process is indeed easy to do, let’s get the detailed steps.
- The exported file downloads to your computer's designated downloads folder. Import a File in Your Calendar: On the left folder view, click the More options icon next to the calendar where you want to import another calendar. Result: The Import into Calendar window displays. Click Upload file.
When importing ical url from Google Calendar the timezone is ignored.

Please advice
Hi Oystein. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this. You might also want to check your time zone setting at wp-admin > Settings > General to see if changing that has any effect on your importing.
If it doesn’t resolve the issue, would you please provide me the ical URL or file you’re trying to import so I can investigate further?
Thank you.
Thanks for the info, but we avoid logging into users’ sites. Please provide the requested information if at all possible.
Thanks for that.
Here’s what’s in your Google Calendar link’s iCal text file that is getting imported for your “Test again” event (different event from your initial screenshot):
I tested importing this event and it imported as an all-day event for me (which is incorrect).
I’ve passed this along to one of our developers and they think it’s related to an existing bug regarding time zone handling of imports.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. If all goes according to plan, the fix will be in a near-term release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.
Hey @Oystein,
Just wanted to follow up and let you know that we released version 4.1.1 last night and it included a fix for this issue. Please update to the latest version if you haven’t already and do let us know if you continue to see any issues from there. 🙂
Cheers and thanks for your patience while we worked on this!
Geoff

Our family almost couldn’t function without Cozi. The challenge of managing everyone’s commitments and orchestrating everything needed to pull that off has only compounded as our kids have gotten older. You know the drill – we are either chauffeurs or gatekeepers ;)
Now how to do get visibility to your Cozi calendar in the tools we use everyday? Sure you can get the Cozi app, but I often forget to check the Cozi calendar when I am making my own appointments.
So to document (with pictures!) this for my family, and anyone else in need of simple instructions, here ya go.
Cozi iCAL?
iCAL? Its just a fancy acronym for “Internet Calendar”.
Cozi Calendar Download
Cozi provides your calendar(s) as iCAL. This means we can integrate Cozi in our other devices & programs.
NOTE: This provides a READ-ONLY view of your Cozi calendar. To edit your Cozi Calendar you still have to use the Cozi app or website. Not a big deal for us – my kids are responsible for entering their own “appointments” using the Cozi app. Yeah we’re starting them early ;)
Getting your Cozi iCAL URL
The Cozi iCAL is accessed via a URL. You have to get your Cozi iCAL URL.
- Login to http://cozicentral.cozi.com/calendar/sharing.aspx with your Cozi login
- Click on Settings
- Along the top click on Sharing
- Next to each Calendar is a “Shared/Not Shared” option. Share the Calendar you want.
- Click on View URL – copy the entire URL shown to your clipboard. This is what you need for everything below.
- Email and/or text the URL to yourself. Makes it easier to copy/paste later.

Apple iPhone/iPad
Go to your Settings and select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
Select Add Account
Pick “Other” type of account
Select “Add Subscribed Calendar”
Paste/enter your Cozi iCAL URL
Rename calendar if you want, then click Save
You should now see your Cozi calendar listed
Now start your Calendars app, and click on Calendars
Now verify your Cozi Calendar is checked
TIP: This makes the Cozi Calendar available to Fantastical also, if you use that app.
