Introduction:
This self paced instructor led training at our Mentor, Ohio service training facility will provide your equipment technicians with the knowledge they need to operate and perform maintenance on the Reliance® Vision Single Chamber Washer/Disinfector.
Course Goal:
This class provides the student with an in depth understanding of how to operate the Reliance Vision Single Chamber Washer/Disinfector and perform troubleshooting and adjustments. The student will learn the theory of operation and functional descriptions for major components and how to access the STERIS website for technical information, technical assistance or place a service request.

Frequency: The Reliance Vision Single-Chamber Washer/Disinfector should be cleaned daily and descaled on a weekly basis as recommended by STERIS. Reliance ® Vision Single Chamber Washer/Disinfector. The Reliance Vision Single-Chamber Washer/ Disinfector is intended for use in the cleaning and intermediate level disinfection of soiled reusable utensils, trays, glassware, bedpans and urinals, rubber and plastic goods, simple hard-surfaced rigid surgical instruments (such as forceps and clamps), theater shoes and other similar and related. Reliance Vision Washer/Disinfector is a high-performance cleaning phase, and a intermediate-level disinfection cycle. The Reliance Vision Washer/Disinfector is intended for use in the cleaning, and intermediate-level disinfection of soiled reusable medical devices such as surgical instruments, utensils, bedpans and anesthesia equipment.
Course Outcomes:
At the end of this class, the student will be able to:
- identify and explain the function of the main components and sub-assemblies of the washer.
- locate key sections of the operator and maintenance manuals.
- operate the washer in operator and service modes.
- explain the function and flow of utilities through the washer.
- locate the Chemical Delivery System components, perform associated preventive maintenance tasks and calibrate the system.
- locate and complete preventive maintenance on the pneumatic components of the washer.
- rebuild and replace key plumbing components associated with the washer.
- recall the proper function of main system outputs and inputs during a given cycle.
- complete preventive maintenance tasks on the washer door.
- complete maintenance tasks on the chamber components of the washer, including the rack manifold and spray arms.
- calibrate the temperature on the washer.
- verify the operation of the washer electrical system.
- troubleshoot common issues on the washer.
- access the STERIS service websites for assistance.

None of the valves turned on when they were supposed to...doors wouldn't open. I went into service mode to inputs/outputs and tested the door and all the water valves and nothing would operate/energize. I checked the incoming air at the regulator and it was fine. What else should I be checking? What could cause this? Thank you. Reply |

After the progress bar, it still just sits on the Steris screen. Can someone tell me how to access the Softlogix Controller to verify it's on 'run' mode? Thank you.Reply |
0Replies7 months ago | 7 months agoCPU issue CPU and hard drive went out. Replaced Allen Bradley CPU and cloned hard drive from another SC Vision Washer. Turned unit on and it went thru its normal booting process, then it stopped and asked for the Administrator Password. called Steris and they said it was an AB issue, called AB and they said it was a Steris issue. Sounds almost like Steris doesn't want to help because I didn't purchase the CPU from them. Reply |
